The birthplace or the background does not define a person but the dedication towards work and behavior does. This statement does justice to Mr. Santosh Patil from Devagiri village, Belgaum. His journey from a bicycle paddling to owning a car, the journey is full of experiences & learning.
He graduated as a civil engineer from Jain College of engineering, Belgaum and completed his masters in structural engineering from Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum. He started his LEAD journey in 2012 along with his two friends. In the past seven years, he has guided more than 300 students. In his initial days, he started working individually by producing and using organic pesticides. After this initiative. his journey took a high road along with applying radium bands to railway gates, bullock carts, setting up of digital library and many more.
He started with a team of 3 members and working with a team of 100’s students and guiding them to become LEADers gives Santosh greater joy than getting awards. He believes that “Change can be brought in individuals if they are enthusiastic about learning”. This what happens with his team too, the zeal of learning and doing something better for the society, his team won “The Best Team Award” in the year 2015. For completing more than 50 initiatives for the better society Mr. Santosh achieved “The Best LEADer Award by the hands of Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, Mr. Shekhar Gupta, Mr. Narayan Murthy and Mr. Gururaj Desh Deshpande in the year 2016. In his LEADership journey receiving the best LEADer award by Mr. Narayan Murthy, Founder & CEO, Infosys was a breakthrough and an inspiration to work more.
Today he is as a Structural Engineer, as a construction consultant, Founder & CEO of Infinity Group and most importantly as a strong personality with a motto of giving back to society for its betterment.

The shy kid, before, delivered a speech in front of thousands of students in an international event. “Yuva Summit”. Now deemed institutions such as R V College of Engineering and New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore are calling him for conducting workshops and as a guest lecturer.
The spirit of Leadership made him start his own company after his M.tech which he names as “The INFINITY GROUP”. Infinity works with the motto of bridging a gap between academics and industrial needs by providing the required skill set. The company holds the mission to become the service providers in the engineering field and to include workshops on interdisciplinary aspects.
As of now, they are focusing on Internships, placement training, skill development program and entrepreneurship cells across the states. Infinity group has the vision to be a globally recognized institution that strengthens the technical and practical oriented skills and abilities to achieve student’s objective. Currently,
Infinity group has a team of 5 members whiz, Pavan Bhajantri being the Co-Founder an Electronic Engineering Graduate, Suraj Nagare intern from Jain College of Engineering who is taking care of websites and social media, Gururaj Kulkarni an intern who visits and communicates with the colleges and Shashidhar Bhajantri, Mtech in Thermal Energy works as a Program Manager. Presently Mr. Patil’s company, Infinity Group is handling 5 construction projects in Belgaum and Bangalore. Mr. Santosh was appreciated for his company’s work by the hands of Mr. Desh Deshpande and Mrs. Jayashree Deshpande which was very blissful for him.
He feels energetic and motivated when he looks around the young leaders and that’s what makes him work with them by helping them to take initiatives. He feels that they are his extended family.
Mr. Santosh believes that “Each individual has the ability to perform exceptionally and they can get the proper resources under the guidance of the experts’ if they are dedicated towards the work”. His message to all the students and LEADers that a book cannot be judged by its cover similarly an individual cannot be judged by look. Mr. Santosh says, “Impossible is a word found in the dictionary of knowns” so give yourself a chance to explore your hidden potential.
