Arpan Satapathy, Mechanical Maratha Mandal Engineering College, Belgaum.
Before Joining LEAD he worked and direct musical skits, plays and drama on various social Topics. Also was part of Yuvshala Consultancy and NSS and NCC. He was fond of photography and writing blog hence was chosen as Junior Blogger for Arsenal FC India.
Joined current college through lots of twist and turns and was spending usual timetable in the Institution. One fine day, a group of Senior students came up to College along with Mr.Abhinandan Kavale who briefed about LEAD Program, He was really inspired by the videos and stories of LEADers hence, onspot decided to join this venture to explore more about it. As per his activeness, seniors made him the LEAD Student Coordinator and the journey continued.
First project was to be one which he wanted to solve but was unable to find a platform to do so! But now LEAD was there along with him and thus, Initiated the first project which was Traffic Rules awareness which he implemented along with my fellow LEADers at the Heart of Belgaum City “Rani Chennamma Circle” . project was a great success and hunger to change the society continued. Later he also conducted awareness program in District Hospital about cleanliness and also Railway crossing safety.
Initially at the beginning, he didn’t face any challenges, but the first test came when Only he was left alone in the college as a LEAD member (because my Senior LEAD members passed out/completed their degrees) and it was very difficult to begin from where they had left him and that moment Mr.Abhinandan came to his rescue and helped to boost his morale. Now he conducted his first Orientation “Umang” to recruit 40 Members in LEAD and conducted first collaborative project in College “Swacch Bharat” where they raised funds and placed Garbage bins in the campus.
Major individual project in LEAD was ” Tech Innova- Android Theft Management” where he secured more than 200 Android devices by educating its users about a hidden security feature thus preventing its theft. Also under his LEADership they conducted “LEAD Hit !t” where they painted and refurbished four Bus Stops at the Dharamveer Shambhaji Chowk, Bogarveas which was a grand success in locality and featured in local media. Further conducted a Fuel Conservation Awareness about BS-IV norms to NWKRTC City and Inter-state buses.
