Today the “City of victory”, Vijaypur has witnessed the most awaited event of the year of the LEADers’ lives. The LEAD Valedictory at BLDEA’s Dr. P. G. Halkatti College of Engineering and Technology, Vijaypur started with lots of enthusiasm of LEADers from Vijaypur, Bagalkot, Jamkhandi, Umadi, Chadchan, Sindagi, Babaleshwar and mahalingpur. The blue army put up all the creativity to welcome the guests and the students from various places. Once the registration process was over LEADers had a chance to interact with LEAD alumni Mr. Vishwanath from HGS company.

In the LEAD Valedictory LEADers from all the various places get a chance to showcase their hard work to the guest of honors. The Chief Guest Mr. Vikas Suralkar, IAS and CEO – Zilla Panchyat, Vijaypur, Dr. V P Huggi, Principal B.L.D.E.A’s V.P. Dr. P G Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology, Vijaypur, President of the event and chief guests, Dr. R B Belli, Agriculture Extension Leader at University of Agricultural Science, Dharwad – UASD, Dr. V B Grampurohit Syndicate Member Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, Mr. Abhinandan Kavale Senior Manager LEAD, Hubballi and Smt. Geeta Patil, Regional Head Agastya International Foundation, Vijaypur, inaugurated the project showcase and spoke to LEADers about their initiatives.

LEADer Sahana from BLDE’s College of Engineering and Technology sung a welcome song which was continued by welcoming the guest by LEADer Ganga. Respecting mother nature is one of the most sacred thing in this planet. Whatever human being takes from nature should be given back. The guest of honors watered the plant. Mr. Pramod Hukkeri, Deputy Manager, LEAD read the impact report of the LEAD Vijaypur.

LEAD Valedictory gives a chance to LEADers to share their experiences and LEAD stories in front of the crowd. Praveen the LEADer now was the LEAD youngster before and is associated with LEAD since 8th Std. He was so scared but every experience of his journey made him tough to take challenges and now he has his own company Techno Support  with more than 800 customers in three different states. He says, joining LEAD LEADership Program and LEAD Prayana has changed his life. Poornachandra an awardee of 9th Yuva Summit stated that he was inspired with the tagline “Complaints start with they and solutions started with I” which encouraged him to do more and more. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Do or Die” but LEAD taught LEADer Poornachandra to “Do before Die”.

LEAD Valedictory is an annual event and an end of the LEAD academic year. LEADers who work for hard and take up initiatives for the betterment of society are awarded at the Valedictory. Here are the LEADers who were awarded at this Valedictory:

Without the support of college and the staff it would have been hard to make so much of impact on the society and on the people. Prof. R I hiremath from MES College, Chadchan and Prof. Govind Madbhavi from BLDEA’s College of Engineering and Technology were awarded as the Best supporting faculty. BLDEA’S College of Engineering and Technology was awarded as the best supporting college where as BLDEA’s BBA College was awarded as the best performing college.

Students are transformed to LEADers as soon as they start taking the initiatives. When LEADers are ready to take up new responsibilities they get promoted as Master LEADers and Ambassadors. Here are the LEADers from Vijaypur, Bagalkot, Jamkhandi, Umadi, Chadchan, Sindagi, Babaleshwar and mahalingpur who are promoted by master LEADers and ambassadors.

 

 

After the promotion and award ceremony the LEAD Valedictory was continued by the guest panel session moderated by Mr. Abhinandan Kavale (Senior Executive Manager). The first panelist Mr. Vikas Suralkar (IAS, CEO- Zilla Panchayat, Vijaypur) spoke about the need of direction to the youth in a very constructive way. He shared the two types of entrepreneurs, “Social Entrepreneurs” who puts society on the higher priority and “Financial Entrepreneurs” who finds the way for his life. Both the entrepreneurs picks up a problem and finds out the solution. He also shared few facts about LEADership and it’s importance. Dr. R. B. Belli (Agriculture Extension Leader at University of Agricultural Science, Dharwad) shared information about “Krishimitra”. He shared three important aspects of length, breadth and height of life. Life should be strong and complete on every side. Any complete life should have three dimensions namely Length, Breadth and height. The Length of the life is an inward drive to achieve one’s own personal ends and Ambitions. And in inward concern for one’s own welfare and achievements. Then the Breadth of life is outward Concern for others. The Height of life is upward reach for God. Only by painstaking effort of all three dimensions one can expect to have Complete Life. He asked LEADers to solve the problems related to agriculture and to concentrate on organic farming. Dr. V. B. Grampurohit (Syndicate member Rani Channamma, University) told everyone to be focused and to work hard on what they believe. Now a days students spend lots of time on mobile phones and by chit chatting instead of working hard work. He asked all the students and LEADers present in the crowd to be focused and to work hard on what they want to be. He said, “ Work on your abilities and be the best version of yourself”. Dr. S. M. Mundinmani (Dean, Agriculture College, Vijaypur) shared the importance of agriculture and told the growth in the agriculture field. He asked students to help farmers by every possible means. He spoke about the scope in the field of agriculture for everyone. Agastya foundation works to make sure that students understand the basic concepts of their education and provides exposure for the same. They have many centre in overall India, Vijaypur being one of them. Mrs. Geeta Patil is a regional head of Agastya foundation at Vijaypur. She shared the motto of agastya foundation and thanked LEAD for helping the youngsters of agastya foundation.

After the great panel session the event was continued by felicitating the superwomen of Vijaypur. On the occasion of International Women’s Day LEADers of Vijaypur identified few inspiring stories Mrs. Sweta Nadagouda. and Mrs.Savita Honakatti were rewarded as the inspiring women by the hands of guests. LEADers of Vijaypur struggled and shred their sweats to make this event a successful one. All these LEADers were appreciated on this occasion. Voting is everyone’s not just a right but a duty to make sure we leave our country in better hands. Mr. Muktar Zehamat, from Election Committee explained the voting procedure to all the people present for the Valedictory. After all the sessions it was time for a bit of enjoyment. LEADer Poornima Pawar and LEADer Ranjeeta Kittur entertained the crowd with their dance performances. Every sweetest thing has a satisfied ending. This event ended with delicious food.
