LEAD PRAYANA 2017- DAY 2
“Its not the destinations, its the journey that counts!”
LEAD Prayana is an annual leadership journey for the 18-26 years old youth hosted in Karnataka and Telangana; Hyderabad, Narsingpally, Secunderabad, Dharwad/Hubballi, Belagavi, Sagar, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Manipal/Udupi, Dharmasthala and Kuppam of Andhra Pradesh. With the aim of unleashing leadership potential, Prayana is a memorable journey of 1800kms for the lifetime. Prayanees experience and learn so many things. They explore more than 12 unique organizations and so much in two weeks. Two routes of Prayana journey, First is Karnataka journey and second is Telangana journey.
Day two of Karnataka journey started at Dharmasthala with the session of Mr. Manjunath and discussion session of Mr.Veerendra Hegde, a philanthropist and hereditary administrator/Dharmadhikari of the Dharmastala Temple,who envisioned the belief of Prayanees and answered their queries and questions related to Working of Shree Dharmastala Manjunathneswara Group and Various Other aspects.
In the afternoon Prayanees were assigned the community activities in the coconut and betel nut farm in agriculture visit. Prayanees had their lunch at Annapoorna, Dakshin Kannada’s largest kitchen.
Also, they tasted the Coastal Kannada snacks/Udupi cuisine, Savoury. Later they visited the museum and their day ended with the darshan of god Manjunath at Dharmasthala Temple.
At the end of the day, Prayanees had a reflection session where they were introduced to the team of organizers and social media.
On the other hand day, 2 of Telangana journey started with morning activities in temple premises of village Narasingpalli.
They had their breakfast there in the village itself. After the breakfast, they visited the Kakatiya Sandbox where Mr. Veeresh Pani explained about Deshpande Educational Trust. Later Prayanees were explained about Agastya foundation from Mr. Chandrashekhar.
Then Prayanees visited the Bollant industry where they learned about the manufacturing of eco-friendly paper plates and cups. Prayanees had their lunch in the Bolland industry only. After that they visited the reputed school of Nizamabad, Presidency School ran by Mr. Ajith Narra. Presidency school is awarded as the best school of Nizamabad.
And the second day of Telangana journey ended up with the preparation of Nukkad Natak for the next morning. In both the journeys, Prayanees experienced and learned so many things in two days and more is to come for the next upcoming days.
