LEAD Prayana 2019 – Day 02
The 2nd dawn of the Prayanees was at the Manipal University. Manipal Academy of Higher Education, formerly branded as Manipal University, is a private research institute deemed to be university located in the university town of Manipal, Karnataka. After the breakfast Prayanees one of the deemed university in India, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. Dr. Aparna I. N. (Director in Planning at MAHE) addressed Prayanees by explaining about courses and activities running in MAHE. Prayanees got to learn that Manipal campus is south Asia’s first green campus and it has the comprehensive module of curriculum. She also clarified the doubts Prayanees had about curriculum and extra curriculum activities.
After the inspiring session with Dr. Arpana Prayanees explored the comprehensive campus, Manipal Academy of Higher education, where they visited the asia’s biggest library and experimental learning center, “Destination Manipal” in which they came across the history of the great university.
The visit was helpful for Prayanees to understand the campus and the activities conducted in it. Manipal Higher Education of academy not only concentrates on studies but also gives importance to various kind of sports. “The Marena”, a sports center which has all kind of sports. Prayanees were amused to see university’s huge contribution towards their students’ interest and the variety of courses offered by university.
After having such great and knowledgeable day it was time for some fun and a bit of learning. As it is said, LEAD Prayana is not about learning but it is about learning with fun and excitement. Prayanees were taken to Malpe Beach where they saw another side of world when they asked people few questions about India. They interacted with many people and understood their point of view towards the issues going on in India. Prayanees realised that everyone has their own opinions and nothing can be done by forcing people.
Continuing to the visit, Prayanees played in waves and performed Jiving.
This visit made Prayanees think about the serious issues happening in India and also about the solutions.
The sight of the Malpe beach was definitely a delight to all of them. And the day ended with learning new things, keys to the success of life and the mesmerizing sight view and sunset at Malpe beach.
