After the all exciting and energizing day 2. Here is what the Prayanees did on day 3.

They say in the practice of Yoga one can emphasize the body, the mind or the self and hence the effort can never be fruitless. The Prayanees started their day by an early morning Yoga session which was engaged by our ex-Prayanee Dr.Jasmine Dsouza.

Then the Prayanees had a refreshing early morning walk at the Arboretum SDM, Ujire. They were briefed about the various aspects of botany and about the importance of Ayurvedic plants. The morning dew, cool zephyr and the Greenery of the Arboretum had a soothing and energizing effect on the Prayanees.

The students of SDM College, Ujire organized Indraprastha, a cultural gala through which the students delivered mind-blowing and goosebumps raising performance to entertain the Prayanees. The event included Various folk and traditional forms. They also made sure that they convey a good message through every act.

The Prayanees then went on a tour of SDM college and got to know about different branches and facilities.FB_IMG_1484765430153

Then it was time for some community activity, The Prayanees formulated their activity on the thought “A cashless future is the real goal of India’s demonization move”

Mr.Arpan Satapathy, Social Media Intern and Co-organiser of LEAD Prayana briefed the Prayanees about BHIM App, an initiative by our PM to make India go cashless.

The Prayanees later taught about the usage of the app to the people in that place, they reached 400+ people and got an extremely excellent response from them, the Event Later concluded with a “Nukkad Natak themed Drop Cash Grab App(BHIM)” at Sri Manjunatheshwara Swamy Temple, Dharmasthala.

Finally, the Prayanees ended their day by a Reflections session sharing their experience and learnings of the day.

Route-2

Street Theatre or the Nukkad Natak is perhaps Indias most ancient form of entertainment and is used far and wide to spread awareness on social issues.

The Prayanees woke up on day 3 with a new task, new objective and a new enthusiasm to do it. Their aim was to provide awareness to the villagers through these Street plays. They went door to door at 7 am in the morning and gathered 100+ villagers within no time and performed two different acts.FB_IMG_1484765645979

After this, the Prayanees packed their bags and visited IIIT-Basar which is the only institution in the state of Telangana under MHRD government of India. Prayanees got to know about the system they follow up to uplift the students from a rural background and a healthy interaction also took place.

Then the Prayanees visited the Bangaru Drip Irrigation systems in Nandipet where they had a Field visit and the methodology and techniques used in Drip Irrigation was explained.
