It takes nothing away to be Kind to Animals
A human being is the most unique creature of this earth. He is the only animal who can communicate his needs and feelings through words to the people around him. Through his intelligence, he has started ruling the earth. He has also learned to capture animals and use them for his own use. Being the most intelligent and strongest animal it’s his duty to protect the earth.
When humans act with cruelty we characterize them as animals, yet the only animal that displays cruelty is human. We have become so greedy and selfish that we have forgotten empathizing about animals. It takes nothing away from us to be kind to animals. One such act of kindness was performed by the Leaders of RYMEC Engineering College, Ballari.
The Leaders donated food grains to the old ‘Goshala’ named Ballari Goraksham Sangha. It is cowshed which takes care of the cows, which are aged or injured, and are not accepted by society. When people abandon such cows, these people take them under their shelter and care for them. There are more than 430 cows in this Goshala. It is completely a non-profitable organization. Ballari Goraksham Sangha started 85 years back and is maintained by the same family generations since then. They do not get any help or support from the government. It is run on the donations given by the people.
When Leaders came to know about this organization, they decided to help them. Leader Mahantesh, Sanjay, Sri Ranganath Desai, and his friends went to Janakunte village and collected food grains for donation. They collected an ample amount of grains. They said that the people from the village donated the grains wholeheartedly and appreciated their work. Transferring huge amount of the grains from village to Goshala was a big task to the Leaders. They supplied some amount of grains to the dog’s guard and the rest was taken to the Goshala. The owner said that the stock of cow’s food was almost over and this donation of grains was a great help to them.
This initiative was appreciated by many people and it was featured in different newspapers like Vijayavani, Prajavani, Samyukta Karnataka, Sanje Vani, Deccan Herald, EENadu, etc. The leaders have decided to spread awareness about this organization and get the maximum help possible for the cows. It was really an inspiring project which makes us believe in humanity.
